Black women"s visibility not as displayed as black men. Sexual violence around black women are hidden, especially in religious communities. Brings forward the advent of social media and twitter. Hashtag was not only a localized us term, it made it across transnationally to different women in different spheres. An umbrella term that refers to all of the identities within the gender identity spectrum (for example, transgender, non-conforming identities, genderless, asexual, non-binary/gender queer) Trans ; used to describe trans men and trans women. Slide on kai green"s article citing page 67 is important!!! Feminism is not just about white women, it became representative about its politics. If we push the trans*, it opens up the possibility to understand more. Open the possibilities that people can self identify. Understanding the self and own personal identification. Divorcing from themselves from the name given at birth. A way to disrupt the understanding of themselves. For those who change names, it becomes a self-reclamation.
