The legality of assisted suicide places a restriction on the age limit that entitles one to be able to suggest for assisted suicide. According to criminal code, minors under the age of 18 are not eligi(cid:271)le for assisted sui(cid:272)ide, as they are (cid:374)ot (cid:862)(cid:373)ature(cid:863) or (cid:862)i(cid:374)tellige(cid:374)t(cid:863) e(cid:374)ough to (cid:373)ake the de(cid:272)isio(cid:374) to e(cid:374)d o(cid:374)e"s o(cid:449)(cid:374) life (cid:894)o(cid:374)drey 200(cid:1010)). However, according the mature minor doctrine minors are allowed to make decisions regarding their medical- including the decision to withdraw from life support (harris 2005).
