Through this the researcher can analyze data and either accept a hypothesis or reject a hypothesis. The researchers is trying to figure out x and y the independent variable and the dependent variable ie. the immigrant status is independent and affects the level of conservativeness (dependent variable) The independent variable and cause and dependent variable is the outcome.
