Consequences

France advocated for maximum possible punishment to germans, no
longer under objective US control
France became left worst off

clemenceau exchanged right to rhine for US and British support in case of
german attack
after US did not ratify, guarantee was not valid
GB pulled out as well
France now left without rights to rhine and no support from both US and
GB in the event of a german attack
