As time goes by certain types of blades get really valuable, e. g. ) Blades can be transformed into so many different things, once they"ve been broken they can be made into a variety of different things. Blades were very useful to harvest crops, stone bladed sickles. Ground and polished stone tools, creating things that are very durable, makes the stone very strong, used to make tools such as axes that don"t shatter on impact. Microwear, the wear on the edges of stone tools, from cutting different materials, and being used for certain activities. Residues: things that are left on the edges of stone tools, have to be very careful when excavating so the residue isn"t cleaned off the stone tools, can do chemical analysis, Dna analysis to see what was on the stone tools. In practical terms an archaeologist will focus on the more important and obvious stones that fit together.
