Final exam: matching section will be on sights. Western eurasia near the end of the pleistocene. New types of artifacts: fishhooks, harpoons, and darts. Around the tine that you see the increase in temperature, you seen the decrease of a lot of the large animals. Also have an appearance of people, around the same time that the large animals were starting to disappear. Scientist think that the arrival of people corresponds with the rise and fall of temperatures. Some scientist think that the extinction of the large mammals was cause by extra- terrestrial impacts, like what happened to the dinosaurs. In north america and australia large animals decline rapidly at around 10000 years ago, however in africa the decline is more subtle. The climate change in africa is not as drastic as it is in north america or australia, since it is closer to the equator.
