You need to produce a proposal for your research essay. If your proposal does not follow these instructions exactly, you will lose 5% of your research grade. The table below treats what a research proposal contains. You decide if you will use multiple sections with headings or simply a good solid paragraph. Whichever format you choose, your proposal will address all these points, however briefly, and do so in 200-250 words (no more no less). Give your project a working title, which may or may not last. Explain what you hope your research will find or show. State the question or series of questions you have in mind before you begin your research. Explain your interest in and experience with this topic. Describe any previous research you have conducted on this or related topics, any classes you have taken on this or related topics, or any reading you have already done in the field.
