Ahmadia and ismai"ili (india: muslim communities. Ahmadia: ghulam ahmad claims to be a prophet. Says that in order to cope w/ changes muslims need a living spiritual guide, not just old texts. Revelation was the only way for islam to survive against foreign occupation and new modes of thought and life. Believes he embodies the 2nd coming of jesus: group has since become an outcast group. India: men have indian women as lovers/wives (not as much segregation) no longer cool when british women start arriving. A lot of talk about how to protect indian women from the semi- savage indian men. At the same time of essentially forced prostitution.
