Sigma e is transcribed from the rpoe gene. Cpxar: two component system triggered by a change in ph or adhesion protein misfolding. Cpxa = localized in the membrane and acts as the hk to detect damage. Cpxr = is a response regulator acts as a transcription factor upon phosphorylation. Microarray indicates that there are only a few genes that have the cpxr box - 71 genes with 49 transcriptional genes a ected. Baers: two component system that works in conjugation to the cpx system in response to toxic compounds (conjugate plasma expression)
