To every situation we bring ourselves and cannot change a lot about ourselves (demographics such as name, age, sex, health etc. ) Microsystem: things that direct back and forth impact on each other (especially towards the individual) (us: include church vs canada: exclude church) (family, school, health services, peers) Mesosystem: things in the microsystem interacting with each other (family makes decision about where you go to school, go to doctors etc. Exosystem: people you may (not) know; neighbours, social services, mass media, industry/employment opportunity, local politics. Chronosystem: time; straight line across the bottom ex. technology- makes in uences at multiple levels (ex. mass media and school), women in the workforce. Tremblay and larivi re: 4000 teens in qc. If friends, parents or siblings pressure them to lose weight they"re more liking to do so. If someone makes a derogatory comment/remark then more likely to try to lose weight.
