Document Summary

Conservation in natural world defined by biodiversity which exists at multiple levels. Biodiversity is tied to evolution and life on earth. This biodiversity has value in terms in the things that it produces, and the instrumental value it plays, in ecosystems (clean water and nutrients), aesthetically and intrinsic. Humans are leading a massive decrease in worlds biodiversity fastest decrease ever. Every time we fill gas, change levels of biodiversity, every time we drive, etc. Extinctions have always been a critical part of biological change. 25% of marine families go extinct, (global cooling) just families, much larger amount of species. 19% of marine families go extinct, probably due to global climate change. Maybe because tectonic plates causing massive volcanic eruption. 54% of families and 96% of species go extinct probably due to plate tectonics or meteorite impact (great dying) Because of a period of climate change made species ecologies incompatible with changing climate.
