Started with parents that had different appearnaces for whatever trait. All offspring took ina ppreance of just one parent. F2 generation, ratio of 3:1 of what second generation offspring looked life. When forming sex cells, pairs of hereditary factors separate so that each sex cell contains only one hereditary factor. If alleles (hereditary factors) are linked together for these two traits, they will go together to the offspring.
