The biosphere of the earth is where life and ecosystems are known to exist. In this biosphere is where we understand the natural world. Ecology is specifically related to ecosystems, which are spaces where groups of organism are interacting and evolving under the influence of environmental factors, including other organisms. Therefore ecology allows us to understand organization of the world + certain problems that are vital (like food enough to feed everyone alive) aka sustainable development.
