Comedias: full-length plays; could be serious, comic or a mixture; great freedom and flexibility in mixing elements. Usually dealt with themes of love and honour, and the leading characters were often minor noblemen. Fuente ovejuna (the sheep"s well): famous play by lope de vega, where the hero is an entire village which stands up against authority and triumphs. Episodic: multiple different locations, large cast - spanish plays are similar to elizabethan drama.
