The term ethics, describes appropriate human action in areas like business, medicine, health, religion and research. Research ethics is used to identify the actions that a researcher must take to conduct responsible and moral research. Engaging in responsible research requires a researcher to: anticipate what might happen, react to what is happening, reflect on what did happen. In august 1947 the verdict from this trial included a section called permissible medical experiments, which has come to be known as the nuremberg code: result of drastic, inhumane research. Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject. Researchers told male syphilis patients they were receiving treatment when they were not, to study how un- treated syphilis progressed.
