Water is instilled into the external ear canal, affected side tested first. Normal response is nystagmus, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, and a feeling of falling. Decreased or absence of these responses within 3 minutes indicates an abnormality. Phenomenon where in a group we can focus on a single conversation. Cells in v2 that give best response to moving lines of particular orientation. A task in which people wearing headphones hear different messages presented to each ear. Participants cannot usually recall speech presented in the unattended ear. primarily concerned with spatial attention not involved in sensory processing of visual features.
