Language development is processed on the left side of the brain. Complex forms of reasoning are processed on the right side of the brain. Left handed= right brain dominance and vice versa. In some cultures, the left hand is tied behind the back, so you become right hand dominant: the left hand is used for personal hygiene. The degree of handedness can be attributed to prenatal development. Amniotic fluid moves passively clockwise: this passive stimulation can develop motor cortex connections that influence handedness. Most foetuses suck on their right thumb. Growth happens from the head down and the inside out. The head is approximately 50% the foetus" body length after 2 months prenatal. Babies are born with larger spaces and cartilage between bones and the wrist, ankle, foot. There"s ossification in extremities even at 6-8 years old. Fontanels: spaces between bones in skull, commonly referred to as soft spots . Muscles generally become longer and thicker as you get older.
