Defined crime in a way that reflects how most crimonlogist view their discipline. He proposed that deviance and crime be considered on a contimumm ranging rom the least serious to the most serious act. Law represents the agreement of most of the people in sociwty that certain acts should be prohibited by the ccriminal law. Value: a collective idea about what is right or wrong, good or bad, and desirable or undesirable in a particular culture. That laws are passed by members of the ruling class to maintain their privileged position by keeping the common people under control. Green criminology: debate about the cause and conquences of environmental destruction and to use expertise to help address this problem.
