Characteristics of the electromagnetic spectrum: ranges from gamma rays to radio waves. Shortest is gamma rays and also the most energetic waves while longest is radio waves and the least energetic. Relationship between wavelength and energy content of a photon: there is an inverse relationship between the energy of a photon and the wavelength of light. Molecular characteristic of pigments that make them able to absorb light: the presence of a conjugated system of double/single bonds, a region where carbon atoms are covalently bonded to each other structurally. This region is called a conjugated system and it results in the delocalization of electrons. Not all stages of the live cycle have the same growth rate and the role of the zygospore in helping chlamy survive: generation time is 10hr if it is optimally and asexually. Reproduced: if sexual reproduction route is taken, then it could go years without reproducing.
