Starts at illum as well, stretches up to transverse processes of vertebrae.
Originates at pelvis (in general) attaches to spinous processes of vertebrae.
Diamondshaped fascia in pelvic area called thoracodorsal fascia. Band that sits in the
small of the back. Muscles attach to this fascia most notable is the latissimus dorsi.
Vertebrae supports its self for the most part, so muscles of the back do not have to
work very hard to keep bone in place. However, with movement muscles work
very hard to ensure nothing gets out of place. Work quickly to compensate for
quick movements easily to injure yourself experience pain.
Innervation of Muscle
Ventral efferent information going out responsible for motor.
Dorsal afferent information coming in responsible for sensory.
Move into wahts classed a rami consists of both sensory and motor information. Most
motor info is transmitted through ventral rami. The Dorsal rami innervates the
Transversospinalis muscles small, intricate. Allow for much finer movements of
the spinal column. Organized by attachments.
Intertransversarius inbetween transverse processes.
