Legalizing it may be able to lure in human trafficking activities and other crimes: decriminalizing instead of legalizing, may still have organized crime if decriminalized. Legalizing will take away illicit drug trades: decriminalization, no criminal record for use, uses fines instead, e. g. , possession of up to 2 ounces will not result in being arrested/taken to court/a criminal record, but is subject to fines. Legalization: no fines for (legal) use, allows for regulation and taxation of legally produced cannabis, allows for legal industry, main purpose for this act is healthy public policy.
