Document Summary
Smt you"re born with - genetics of behaviour. Humans: 23 pairs chromosome - 22 autosomes & sex chromosome. Genes determine range of possibilities but not degree of expression. Eg. white crowned sparrow - must hear adult song by 7th and 60th day they never develop ability to produce the specific song. Short index finger dominant & recessive depending of gender. Eg. sickle cell anemia heterozygous can end up half and half - incomplete dominance. Strawberry blonde is a blend of red & blonde. Estimate of how much observed variability due to genetic factors alone h 2 = variance due to genes/total variance. Taps relative contribution of genes to overall variation in population. But environment can interact too; environment can alter what seems to be internally coded traits. Taller in 1961 than 1862 - was because overall population was older. Identical twins epigenetics tags change over time due to environment. By the end of their life their genetics is very different.
