Document Summary
Psychology- is the study of behavior (observable activities of an organism, often in response to environmental cues) and mental posses such as thought and emotion. When studying why a certain behavior of mental processes (describe the activity of our brains when we are engaged in thinking, processing information, and using language) occurs one can study: the brain. Emotions, ideas and thoughts: the group. Psychology is a combo of 2 fields: philosophy is the root of psych. Psych tries to answer questions posed by philosophy. While philosophy only observed people and tried to answer, psych borrowed methods used in the physical sciences to try and answer these questions. Philosophers were the ones arguing about what is was to be (cid:498)human(cid:499), (cid:498)alive(cid:499), and to (cid:498)experience things(cid:499) He conducted the first documented psych study. His first study was observing how fast people could react and push a button once they see a ball that he drops hit the floor.
