Conscious-the thought and feeling that we are aware of any given moment. Preconscious- holds memories and feelings that we aren"t constantly thinking about but can be brought to conscious. Unconscious- holds memories or feeling that are so unpleasant or anxiety provoking that we are repressed. The three component of the human mind. Pleasant principle - try to seek pleasure and avoid pain. Reality principle- logical,rational, realistic part of the personality. Must satisfy the drives of the id while complying with the constraint of the environment.
