Document Summary

An emic view: to strengthen traditional native science and to block further penetration of traditional native science by western science. Kounosu identifies 6 characteristics that underpin western science: The universe is a large empty space time, isolated atoms exist in the vast vacuum, the atoms are independent from each other and incapable of changing. There is no cause; the religious notion of cause (god) is denied by newton. There is no purpose or reason but accidents of conditions. Changes have to be forced and motions can only follow the course determined by the mechanics of the force. One simply has to be powerful enough to supply all energy needed for desired motions. Human intellect is capable of knowing everything and to any accuracy desired. The universe and everything taking place in it can be measured and treated in linearized approximation. Western science is the universal truth with the true methods.
