It allowed free males to join assembly, the governing body. Similarity between our democracy and theirs is that you"re (cid:374)ot (cid:271)or(cid:374) i(cid:374)to the positio(cid:374). 431 bce- 404 bce: sparta attacks athens; peloponnesian war ended and sparta won. Changed it to oligarchy- group of leaders a(cid:374)d they all ha(cid:448)e po(cid:449)er a(cid:374)d (cid:449)ere (cid:272)alled (cid:862)the thirty. Plato was born during the peloponnesian war in 428 bce. Olympians are still the primary gods during this time and aphrodite is still the goddess of love.
