Love: amor (latin), liebe (german), philia, agape, eros (greek) General definition of love: is an effort by a person to unite with, become one with someone or something. When we love what we"re trying to do is to come close to somebody or something outside ourselves to become one with. Love is the antidote to a classic human need. Love is the means by which people can overcome fear, or isolation of being alone. Love tries to address the insecurity of being alone. There are 4 qualities to love: caring: to care for the well-being of another the one we wish to unite with, share: to give constructively with someone else. To share your interests, resources, skills, wealth, compassion responsibility for them: responsibility: if you love someone who you have a commitment to you will take, respect: to love means to respect.
