Business is the dominant institution of our time: main discourse: economic performance, productivity , business values: spreading to non-business spheres (universities, healthcare, etc. ) There"s lots of noise/uncertainty in the business world. Experts step in to fill the void but they"re often wrong. We need to develop procedures to assess truth or validity of different ideas. Dimensions of critical thinking: central claims, quality of evidence, underlying assumptions and values, causal claims, techniques of persuation.
