Rhea was the one who gave kronos the stone to swallow, instead of zeus. The reason zeus stayed as leader of the gods was because he didn"t try to control everything himself, he instead handed out the power and created alliances, so that the other gods would trust him. Parthenogenesis: virginal birth, birth without the help of anyone so its aesexual almost. Hesiod"s works and days: this is a story about human life and culture, opens with a mention of the muses, and a praise to zeus, since it is his world now. Hesiod vs his brother perses: hesiod has accused perses of taking more than his share of their inheritance, and on top of that gives it to terrible kings that don"t deserve it. Zeus is said to be the villain in this because he takes humans easy lives from them and makes them work.
