1. Germination of a dicot: seed coat, epicotyl, cotyledon is the whole seed structure. It starts in
soil, grows first true leaves, and then cot. Withers.
2. Monocot: grows in soil as dicot, but structure is pericarp, endosperm, radicle. Final growth is in
prop roots and primary root.
3. POTW: Apple malus domestica: apple is hypogynous. Floral cup comes out of the receptable to
become the fleshy part f the apple that we eat
