Thin collagen fibres coated with glycoprotein: adipocytes not migratory. Neutrophils & lymphocytes, plasma cells protection & defense. Matrix determines connective tissues properties (composed of:) Provides elasticity, strength, and structure i. e. collagen fibres, elastic fibres, reticular fibres. Material that the fibres are suspended in. Viscous & slippery binds cells together. Simple classification 2 groups: soft connective tissue / connective tissue proper, loose fibrous. Description: fibres - collagen, elastic, cells - fibroblasts, adipocytes, few white blood cells.
