Document Summary
There are wrinkles in the wall of the stomach. In the mucosa of the stomach there are secretions from gastric glands that pass through the gastric pits and get released into the stomach. The mucosa: is the inner stomach lining, simple columnar epithelium tissue, gastric glands make and release gastric juice that contains water, mucus, salts, hcl, pepsinogen and pepsin (protein digesting enzyme) Walls of the stomach: churns and mixes food and the gastric juices, chyme then leaves the stomach and leaves through the duodenum into the small intestine. Mucus: is a slimy picture of mucins, which are glycoproteins, water, electrolytes, salts, epithelial cells, and leukocytes (white blood cells, it gets secreted by glands in the epithelial lining in the body cavities. These release secretions into the duodenum, so all the chyme that is there is exposed to these secretions. Liver produces bile salts: extra bile salts that are made get stores in the gall bladder.
