The lymphatic system: it picks up and transports interstitial uids, that have been lost from capillaries, it has lymphatic vessels, with lymph uid inside them, this uid has plasma proteins, and enzymes in it. It also has water, hormones, and salt: the lymphatic system helps regulate how much uid is outside of the cells. The lymphatic system also transports digested fats from the vlli located in the small intestine, into the circulatory system: the lymphatic vessels inside the villi are called lacteals. Lymphoid tissues make up the lymphatic system: lymph vessels, lymph nodes, spleen, adenoids, appendix, thymus. B lymphocyte cells mature in the bone marrow, while t lymphocyte cells mature in the thymus, although they are also made in the bone marrow lymph will go through various vessels, where it is checked for microorganisms.
