Is the internet changing the way we think and process information. Looking at internet addiction next week instead of other. Use the internet more and more, creates a shallow way of thinking. Experienced internet users made a lot more use of part of brain (problem solving and devision making) then inexperienced internet users when surfing the web. (study) Inexperienced began using that part of the brain more after racking up more hours of sur ng the web. Accessive brain activity results in shallower thinking (carr"s argument) Another altering brain pattern example is the introduction of math and reading skills using part of the brain such as recognizing words and numbers. Introduction of new technologies is apart of changing brain functioning historically. Adult brains xed (old research) now its the opposite idea in new research. Using one skill more than another (if you don"t use it, you loose it [carr"s argument])
