There are so many sects that the movement has lost some of its momentum and direction. Negative connotation comes from the people who don"t do it for the fight for women, but more from the hatred of women: doesn"t come from radical feminism. Promoting women over men, also a negative connotation of feminism. It it"s pushed as women trying to gain power over men, it becomes problematic: people who rise to take power away from someone who already has it will cause fights/issues. Human perspective: common sense now, but not in her time. Would link her ideas back to religion: would say that humans are made in gods image, so if you believe that they are god"s creatures, you can"t diminish their importance. Advocacy of social equality for the sexes in opposition to patriarchy and sexism. like any other area-- human nature , aboriginal , youth , arabs , anglos etc .
