Evolutionary psychology is a relatively new discipline that applies the principles of modern evolutionary theory to the study of mind and behaviour evolved. Ethology-the study of animals in their natural habitat. Certain elements of behaviour are products of evolution that can be studied only within the environment in which that behaviour evolved. The only way to understand behaviour is to see within the environment. Ethologists never considered themselves to be a part of psychology. Theoretical idea one way to understand behaviour in animals. It could not be explained by traditional darwinist idea; you must understand evolution as a natural process (genes). Behaviors can"t be fully understood without detailed knowledge of evolution and their environment. Humans, like other living organisms, are the product of natural selection and other evolutionary forces. Physical features of organisms are the result of evolutionary forces. The human nervous system (brain + spinal cord) is an important physical feature of human species.
