Introduction
Stephane Crête is a montreal-based actor
He led an experimental play series where actors were given and studied roles sober and then would perform it high, drunk, etc.

H played a “doctor” but he still had a real nurse on stage
it was to explore a different state of consciousness, as changed by external factors
the first was done with pain, then drugs, hypnosis, and finally sexual stimulation
different plays and different actors each time
protocol was the same
it was done in front of the audience both ways
Nurse would check vital signs before and after to see the difference
He also has another theatre company
there were health concerns, as well as legal concerns
He did another play, where both the audience and the actors had to be nude
He was asked to stop by the “morality police” after 2 nights, and it became a large news story
The new play, to get around this, was done in a private setting with invitation only to bypass this concern
Actors took valium, dilidid, alcohol, weed, MDMA, and mushrooms- there were 6 actors, all in different scenes
they paced the show based on the affects of the drugs
