Use rape to harm, humiliate, and degrade the victim. More likely to be serial rapists or serial murderers. More likely to convert into someone who begins to kill their victims after raping them: compensatory rapists. Often the ones people don"t see coming. Use rape to prove sexual prowess and adequacy. They person you thought you were safe with. Most surprising, makes you question who is safe. If they"re not safe to be with, then who is? . Violence gets them off during the assault. Rapist who kill are most likely to be in this category: impulsive rapists. Easy for them to justify their actions. Campus rapists mostly fall into this category. Can include rapes that occur when other crimes are committed burglary - woman comes home - sexual assault opportunity. Preys on vulnerable women without planning in advance. Name should be tweaked to opportunistic rapists. : often do things to facilitate the assault.
