Each sociology provides lines, scripts, roles, which people learn for doing sexual, gender, and all other social behaviors. 64% of societies permitted homosexuality and considered it normal. All scripts feel natural and normal in the societies that use them. Therefore, there is a danger in thinking that things that feel natural and normal to you, and right, or the only ones ethically acceptable. Modern american values = big change from old values. Consenting adults in privacy is no one else s business as long as they re not hurting anyone (accepting, but still restricting) 1986: supreme court allows states to enforce state laws against carious sexual acts; 1st case: homosexual acts. 2003: supreme court struck down texas s anti-sodomy law by 6 to 3 (very strong vote not a fair law) E. g #3: abortion (showing values changing over time within our society) Pro life: the unborn fetus is fully human and must be protected with all legal rights.
