Adolescence lack of impulse control = negative. Development and aging are both positive and negative. Historically, aging = negative & development = positive connotations. Aging is an umbrella: includes both systematic and non-systematic, random and non-random, positive and negative. From a developmental perspective we (as college students) have stopped growing, although we may gain weight or muscle mass. The biological unfolding of the human potential.
