Document Summary

Tamara, you used a great example comparing it to the holocaust. I agree that when an authority figure is throwing orders around, people are too afraid of the consequences to not follow them. This in return causes them to do whatever they are told whether it is good or bad. I don"t think any form of deception should be used. The individual being tested should have full disclosure to the situation so they know exactly what they are getting themselves into. Comparing milgram"s and burger"s studies together shows that there is more than one way to get answers given they both were taken on two opposite levels of extreme. Kaitlin, i couldn"t agree more with your viewpoint. Studies like these help us to find out all the information we need and that is why they are very important. However, the method at which they were carried out is unethical. In my opinion, milgram"s study reflects somewhat of a saw film.
