Hominid- group consisting of all modern and extinct great apes. 3 main evolutionary groups: present-day gorillas, chimpanzees and modern humans. Language- the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way. Evidence-the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid. How people of the past are connected to the people today. How the world came to be in civilizations. A creature began to walk on two legs, over time its descendants became better at walking. They began doing things with their hands by making tools and containers, some of these descendants created fire and cooked their food. Smarter individuals worked with tools, had the most children and survived longer. 200,000 years ago homosapiens left africa and went north.
