Document Summary

The nile river works as a uni cation symbol, bringing the egypt kingdom together. Egypt is protected by its surrounding geographical regions. With large spanning deserts on either side, the nile river, and the red sea egypt wasn"t subjected to the same waves of invaders that most of the middle east experienced in this time. The nile rivers ows from south to north, fanning out into the mediterranean sea making the nile delta extremely fertile. June the nile is ooded from the spring rains providing a nice top soil in the areas surrounding the river. In october, the waters recede and leave a newly fertile farming region. The best part of the annual ooding was that they are predictable and it allowed the people living in this region to plan their lives around it. Ancient egypt had a political system where there was only one ruler, a pharaoh.
