Agricultural revolution (lasts until 19th, into 20th century) Manufacturing moves from country to city: new sources of energy (steam, coal) James watt-revolutionized steam power (did not event it) England has tremendous coal deposits- not a clean burning fuel, created brittle iron, hard to shape- impurities in the coal (iron is no good) Advances in production- spinning ginny (produces cloth in large scale with coal) England has the best banking system on earth- late 18th century.
