With this test, william stern introduced the idea of intelligence quotient (iq) which the formula is iq = mental age/chronological age x 100. Wechsler developed the wechsler adult intelligence scale (wais) (people age 16 and older) and later the wechsler intelligence scale for children (wisc) (people age 6-16) and then in 1967, the wipsi for children ages 2-6. Principles of test construction : for a test to be acceptable it must ful ll the following three criteria: Education has improved dramatically in that 60 years.
