In capitalist societies there are 2 major classes which are the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. Bourgeoise : ownership and control for means of production. According to marx the government only serves the interest of the capitalist class. The ideas of the ruling class are in every epoch the ruling ideas, i. e. the class which is the ruling material force of society, is at the same time its ruling intellectual force.
