Don"t forget to pay the government on time. A lot of people have gotten into legal and financial trouble because they ignore or delay their financial obligations to the government. If you don"t pay the irs, or don"t properly prepare your taxes, you"ll hear from the irs. If you don"t choose to pay your parking tickets today, you"ll pay a larger fine later one. If you don"t pay your speeding ticket on time, you"ll pay a lot more money to get your license back. In the long run, you"ll waste a lot of time delaying your payments to these things. These are cases where you legitimately owe the government money. If you think you don"t legitimately owe the government any money, then go through the right channels to try and defend your case. Sometimes, you"re better off paying the fine instead of fighting it.
