Polygamous- better chances of having a son. Olympias- 4th wife of philip ii- from neighboring kingdom/political marriage. She is actually in exile when philip dies and he marries cleopatra. Given the blame for the deaths of cleopatra"s family- forced suicide. Cleopatra- 7th wife of philip- she is macedonian- important noble family. Alexander the great- returns from exile and has military on his side.
