People experience a gamut of organizational conflict over: There is no agreement over the role of group conflict and organizations. In the past, researchers argued about whether conflict was good or bad uniformly. These simplistic views gave way to approaches that show not every conflict is the same and these differing conflict types have different effects. Contemporary perspectives differentiate conflict types based on their effects. This means it is a constructive conflict form. Conflict hindering the performance of the group is destructive conflict or dysfunctional conflict.
