5 views2 pages

Document Summary

What to expect after filing for a trademark. Nothing happens immediately after you file for your trademark application. This is because it usually takes around 6 months for the trademark office to look at your application for your trademark. In a lot of cases, you won"t actually get a registration, just an action from the office. This is more of a rejection from the trademark office that will ask you to clarify some of the things in your application or describe some of the goods you talked about. They might also say they won"t give you a registration if your filed for a trademark previously. In this case, you would have 6 months to reply to that reply. There are times, though, where you can call an examiner at the trademark office and ask them what to do with the reply you received in the mail.
